FAQs

What are the fees to see a psychologist?

The full fee to see a psychologist is $240 per session. Fee increases occur on 1st July each year. 

What are the Medicare rebates?

If you have a mental health disorder, you and your doctor can create a plan to treat it.

A mental health treatment plan lets you claim up to 10 individual and 10 group sessions with a mental health professional each calendar year.

To start with, your doctor will refer you for up to 6 sessions at a time. If you need more, they can refer you for further sessions.

Current rebate for Clinical Psychologist is $145.25

How long are the sessions with a Psychologist?

Our sessions are 50 minutes.

Do you bulk bill?

We do not bulk bill, we are a private practice and therefore gap fees apply. 

Do you accept Workcover and TAC referrals?

We do accept Workcover and TAC referrals. 

We require a letter of approval for psychology treatment from your case manager, or the appropriate third party prior to commencement of any psychological treatment.

Payment is required on the day of your appointment and it is the responsibility of the individual to lodge the claim for reimbursement. 

Do you provide assessments for ADHD and Autism Spectrum?

No, we do not currently offer formal assessments although are happy to offer screening and disucss any concerns.

Do you offer therapy for children?

Piece of Mind Psychology offers therapy for people aged in their teens through to adulthood. It is important for the therapuetic process that clients have capacity to engage willingly and be prepared to be active members in session. 

Do you accept NDIS referrals?

Yes, NDIS referrals are welcome for self or plan-managed participants. A Service agreement will be completed upon intake.
